Your charter aboard Jesse Girl includes a USCG-licensed Captain, all fishing gear (rods, reels, tackle, and live bait), snacks, water, and soda.

Yes, California Fishing licenses are required, and Mexican Fishing License may be required, and both are not included, and both can be purchased at one of the local tackle shops. Passports are only necessary for trips fishing near the Mexican coast. Please coordinate with the reservationist prior to departure for details on the fishing trip booked.

All your licenses, sunblock, and optional fishing gear, don’t forget your camera, and if you’re prone to motion sickness, take preventive medication well before departure. Please see our What to Bring & What Not to Bring page for a full list.

Yes, you can bring your own tackle and it is often preferred by most customers. Jesse Girl does come fully equipped with the necessary tackle, if you would like us to provide you with gear, we have it on hand at no extra charge. Please coordinate with the reservationist prior to departure so we can limit the amount of gear on the boat.

Yes, we highly recommend bringing your own food, as you will get hungry after a long day of fishing. We provide water, sodas, and snacks, and you’re welcome to bring additional refreshments. We do ask you to avoid glass bottles for safety. The boat is equipped with a microwave and refrigerator for your convenience.

For safety reasons, personal coolers are not permitted on board as they may slide and cause injury. We have ample space with our dual kill boxes with ice, kill bag and refrigerator. Please keep your cooler in your vehicle for your catch to take home.

After an exciting day of fishing, you can plan with a local professional fish processor, or the captain will arrange the fish processor if that is your desire.

We recommend dressing in layers, wearing sunblock, a hat, shoes that are closed-toe with non-slip soles that you don’t mind getting wet or stained, polarized sunglasses, and a long-sleeved shirt for UV defense.

To prevent seasickness, we suggest over-the-counter and prescription medications like Dramamine, Bonine, or Scopolamine patches are effective. Ginger capsules are also considered effective in preventing motion sickness as well as wearing special motion sickness wristbands. Staying hydrated, looking towards the horizon, and getting fresh air can also help alleviate symptoms. Please keep in mind that you need to take motion sickness medication 12 hours before the boat leaves for the medicine to be effective.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your trip. Departure times may vary, please confirm with the reservationist if not previously instructed.

Jesse Girl can comfortably accommodate up to 4 passengers for an optimal fishing experience.
